Chelsea have been warned that the asking price for Shakhtar Donetsk star Alex Teixeira will rocket if they don't agree a deal next month, reports the London Evening Standard.
The Ukrainian club's coach, Mircea Lucescu, says the Brazilian will be valued closer to £40m come next summer and claims he would be worth the £59.7m Manchester United paid Real Madrid for Angel di Maria if he played in a different country.
He said: "Alex is now worth more than 40 million euros (£28.9m). I think at the end of the season - were he to continue with this performance - his value is 50 million euro (£36.1m).
"If he were playing in a league more competitive, his transfer would be at the same level as that of Di Maria.
